Claudia’s career in the USA began at Kentucky Refugee Ministries in 1999. She joined the Louisville Mayor's Office for International Affairs in 2000 as an International Program Specialist in charge of the education, social services, and health’s areas. During this time, she was instrumental in leading the Diversity efforts for the City of Louisville. Part of these efforts were the creation of the Community Language Bank, the State wide Title VI training and the Parade of Cultures. She left in 2009 to pursue a career with a National Refugee agency. She later returned to Kentucky to work as a Manager Patient Care Health Equity & Co-Chair Diversity Council with Jewish Hospital/KYOne Health. Her areas of responsibilities were Language Services, Diversity and Cultural Competency.
Claudia is a 2001 graduate of Focus Louisville and 2000 graduate of Leadership Louisville. She has been recognized as a 50 People to Watch by Louisville Magazine (2003), a 25 Most Influential Latinos in Louisville (2005), a Women of Spunk by Actor’s Theater of Louisville (2007), and a recipient of the Multicultural Opportunities for Success and Achievement In our Community (MOSAIC) by Jewish Family Vocational Services (2007) honoring immigrants and refugees who have made a significant contribution in their profession and in the Louisville community. Claudia has been very active in Louisville Community. She has served in a variety of boards and committees, ranging from education, social services and health. Currently, she is a Partnership Specialist with the US Census Bureau. She has a Bachelor’s in Education from Buenos Aires, Argentina, a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville. She is a Certified Social Worker (CSW), School Social Worker (SSW), and a certified teacher Early Childhood to 5th Grade.
