Jeremy Byard is the Recovery Services Coordinator at the Louisville Recovery Community Connection (LRCC) where he is dedicated to educate, inspire, break the stigma of addiction/recovery and challenge the status quo through innovative approaches and community collaboration. Prior to his work with the LRCC Jeremy was an Employment Specialist at Centerstone Addiction Recovery center where he performed corporate and community outreach, assists individuals with recovery and employment needs, connects clients to resources, facilitates groups, and lead a team of Peer Support Specialists. Jeremy’s collective history in business, military service and his own long-term recovery has helped propel him into being a leader in his areas of focus. Jeremy is a certified trainer in many arenas and is currently under supervision to become an international Motivational Interviewing trainer (M.I.N.T.) Jeremy has received numerous awards throughout his careers. The one he holds closest to his heart is the most recent, where he was named the 2018 alumni of the year by Centerstone. Jeremy is the Co-Founder of the Recovery Employment Workgroup in Louisville, KY and he also serves as the secretary on the Board of Trustees for one of the longest running men’s recovery residences in the nation, as well as serves on several committees throughout the recovery community. Jeremy enjoys time with his family and the outdoors; he loves hiking, is an avid golfer and savors his time at the lake. On any given day, you can find him practicing and teaching his professional strategies to his children, only to backfire on him as they often leverage him for candy and more screen time.
