Barbara Greene

Barbara Greene, has an extensive 40-year background in working with families from the culture of poverty in the Appalachian Mountains.   She is a national trainer for Bridges Out of Poverty.  Barb is a certified Family and Adult Peer Support Specialist, a trainer for Kentucky Strengthening Families, Peer Support Supervision, and Coaching outside the box. Barb is currently the Associate director for Kentucky Partnership for Families and Children, a statewide family organization. She has raised 3 generations of youth with behavioral health challenges and received Wraparound Services herself.  She has assisted many other families in navigating the child serving system through developing a family drop in (Peer Support Center) in southern Kentucky.  Barb brings her spirit of social justice and her favorite phrase is “if we are not part of the solution, we may be part of the problem”.
